Bitter Lawyer is a website/blog that provides often humorous insight into the legal world. Bitter lawyer was honored with a “Webby” award for best law website in 2010.
Comments and essays are written by contributors using pseudonyms in 15 columns that carry titles such as “Associate Abuse,” “Bitter Rant” and “Unethical and Amoral.”
Unlike other legal blogs/websites, Bitter Lawyer is not an aggregate of news and opinion. Instead it reads like a magazine, with snarky titles such as “I Partied with a Paralegal” and “I Want a Big Law Boob Job.”
The column“Bitter News” provides “headlines from the Bitter newsroom” and links to bizarre, often funny legal stories.
Bitter Lawyer has also published serious interviews with major business and legal figures.
Bitter Lawyer gained an additional boost producing a web comedy series “Living the Dream,” a nine-part series shown on the website and You Tube that revolves around a new hire from a second-tier law school and his Ivy League co-workers. The series was written and produced by former attorney Rick Eid, a producer and writer for the television series Law & Order.
