Lessig is the blog of Lawrence Lessig, a noted professor, political activist and authority on copyright issues. Lessig is a law professor at Harvard who also focuses on technology and is director of the Edmond J. Safra Foundation Center for Ethics. He is the author of five books and currently oversees a five-year research project examining institutional corruption in American society.
Lessig’s national reputation garnered interest in his blog, where he receives over 20,000 page views per month and is linked to over 1,000 websites and blogs.
Lessig’s blog was launched in 1997 and is a mix of essays and commentary along with links to his features written for other publications, including the Washington Post, The New York Times, Harper’s Magazine and Wired.
Lessig stopped posting to his blog in August 2009, citing his busy teaching and speaking schedule. But the blog continues to remain a presence on the web with interest in his archival postings.
